What Are CEREC & Midas?
CEREC stands for Chairside Economic Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It is a CAD/CAM system that combines digital scanning technology with an in-house ceramic milling unit to create same-day dental crowns.
SprintRay Midas is a highly advanced 3D printer that can use CEREC scans to create dental devices very efficiently. Instead of carving a block of ceramic, which is the standard CEREC method, it uses an additive building method that can utilize materials like resin and ceramic to produce high-quality creations.
What Are CEREC & Midas Used For?
CEREC and SprintRay Midas have lots of applications! Not only can they be used to create same-day dental crowns, but they are also useful for providing custom mouthguards for sports, nightguards to prevent teeth grinding, dental bridges, and more.
